In this article, I’ve discussed my experience of owning a ASUS laptop (ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 2021 Review) from the last 10 months. In February 2022, I decided to purchase a renewed ASUS Zephyrus laptop from Amazon. Before making this decision, I thoroughly researched and compared different options by reading multiple blogs and watching tons of videos.
The reason for getting a Renewed Laptop is because I get this laptop at 43% lesser price than the original cost. I got this at ₹64792, whereas the price on Amazon was ₹90k something. As of now on 24th December 2022, the price is ₹115000 of a new variant.
Overall, I have been extremely satisfied with the performance of this laptop. It has run smoothly for the past 10 months of usage.
However, I have encountered a few minor issues that I will be discussing in this blog.

Is this Laptop good for gaming?
I am not a gamer; I only code, design, edit videos and write. From a designer’s perspective, I think it looks great. It’s thin and light, with a 14-inch screen that’s the perfect size for gaming on the go. The AMD Ryzen 7 5800HS processor is fast and efficient, and the GeForce GTX 1650 4GB graphics card will provide smooth and realistic graphics. The 8GB of RAM will ensure that games run smoothly and quickly, even when multiple programs run in the background.
Issues I Faced in ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 2021 Review
Despite its impressive specs, I faced several issues while using it. One of the first issues I encountered was with the battery life.
- The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 2021 laptop experiences unexpected battery drainage, with the battery sometimes draining within 5 hours.
- The laptop quickly becomes heated when working on multiple tabs at once, causing discomfort for the user.
- The laptop sometimes refuses to shutdown, and drains almost 99% of the battery during the shutdown process, even though the user thought the laptop was powered off. (Very RARE, but fixed I think after an update)
- The function keys on the laptop were unresponsive at one point, but this issue has since been resolved after an update.
- No Camera, but that’s Okay. I can use Irium App that uses Phone’s Camera to operate as Webcam for Laptop.
Despite these issues, I would still highly recommend the ASUS Zephyrus G14 to anyone in the market for a new laptop.
